FrameSweep Privacy Policy

Summary

FrameSweep is a local-first macOS media sorting and conversion app. It does not include ads, third-party analytics, or developer-operated tracking.

Media files

Your video and image files stay on your Mac. Core preview, sorting, duplicate review, video conversion, image conversion, and Trash workflows run locally on your Mac.

AI features

AI analysis is optional and disabled by default. It runs only when you choose a provider in Settings and start AI analysis or semantic search. AI analysis can create captions, categories, tags, destination suggestions, compression hints, review flags, and file-name suggestions.

With LM Studio / local, FrameSweep connects to the OpenAI-compatible API endpoint you configure, usually a local API on your Mac. Media is not sent to a developer-operated server.

With Cloudflare Workers AI, FrameSweep may send still-image previews, contact sheets, downscaled image data, file names, analysis profile, destination categories, search queries, analyzed text, prompts, and AI responses to Cloudflare. FrameSweep shows an explicit confirmation before Cloudflare AI data is sent.

Local data stored by the app

FrameSweep may store macOS permission data, thumbnail and contact sheet caches, local free-usage counters, a local Pro entitlement record, and app preferences on your Mac.

When AI features are used, FrameSweep may also store AI analysis results, search text, a local SQLite full-text index, local embedding vectors, model names, text hashes, and the timestamp and endpoint for Cloudflare consent.

You can clear generated cache data and AI analysis results from the app settings. You can also remove app settings, entitlement records, and other app data by deleting FrameSweep and its container data from macOS.

Purchases

FrameSweep Pro purchases are handled by Apple's App Store In-App Purchase system. If Cloudflare Workers AI is used for Pro entitlement verification, App Store transaction identifiers needed for verification are sent to the FrameSweep Cloudflare Worker.

Network use

Core media preview, sorting, duplicate review, video conversion, image conversion, and cleanup workflows run locally on your Mac. Optional AI features can connect to a user-configured API such as LM Studio, or to Cloudflare Workers AI if you choose that provider. Production operation keeps R2 request-body archiving disabled.

Deletion and requests

You can delete AI analysis results for the current folder or all saved AI analysis results inside the app. You can clear caches from Settings. For deletion requests related to Cloudflare-side Pro entitlement records or AI request metadata, contact the email address below.
